MSA Accelerated Bachelor's to Master's Degree (MSA ABM)
The MSA Accelerated Bachelor's to Master's Degree (MSA ABM) is a program designed for exceptional undergraduate students in the URI Accounting Bachelor of Science program. This program provides a path for students to earn the MSA degree, offering time and cost savings.
Program Details
Students admitted into the MSA ABM program can apply three required undergraduate ACC courses as electives toward the MSA ABM. These ACC course credits will count towards both the undergraduate ACC degree and the MSA degree. The three courses that may be applied to the MSA ABM program are:
- ACC401 Accounting Computer Systems
- ACC402 Advanced Accounting
- ACC403 Federal Tax Accounting
- ACC404 Auditing
Applicant and Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the MSA ABM program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of at least 75 undergraduate course credits
- Earned a B (or better) in ACC 301, 302, and 303
- A cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher Please note that these qualifications are minimum requirements and do not guarantee admission to the MSA ABM program. Prospective students who meet the minimum qualifications must apply through the URI Graduate School admissions process, and the GRE/GMAT exam and letters of recommendation requirements will be waived.
