Program Overview
Introduction to the Life Science Associate Degree Program
The Life Science Associate Degree program is designed to provide students with up-to-date biotechnology theories and applications. Through a combination of classroom lecturing and experiential learning involving laboratory practicals, workshops, and seminars, students will have the opportunity to develop their careers in biotechnology and pharmaceutical research and development.
Program Objectives
The program aims to:
- Provide students with a solid foundation in life sciences, including biology, chemistry, and physics
- Equip students with laboratory skills and techniques in biotechnology and related fields
- Prepare students for careers in government sectors, pharmaceutical or cosmetic research institutes, accredited testing and medical laboratories, biotech enterprises, and science education in schools
- Enable students to further their studies at local government-funded university undergraduate programs related to biological science, biotechnology, or biomedical science
