Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) programme aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to performing as competent Registered Nurses in a wide range of healthcare settings and as potential leaders with extended professional roles.


Programme Objectives

On successful completion of the programme, students should be able to:


  • Assess and evaluate clients' needs from biological, behavioural, psycho-social, and spiritual perspectives to formulate safe, holistic, managed, ethical, and vocational care.
  • Implement appropriate nursing care plans that promote healthy living and assist recovery from illness for individuals, family units, and the community.
  • Synthesize and apply research findings to improve nursing practice.
  • Communicate with effective interpersonal skills with clients/patients, their families, and members of the employing organizations.
  • Reflect on their professional practices as Registered Nurses for continuous self-improvement in the spirit of lifelong learning.
