Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production
The Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production is a two-year, full-time program offered by the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Film. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive education in film production, emphasizing professional training, creativity, aesthetics, and cultural literacy.
Program Objectives
Upon successful completion of the program, students should be able to:
- Explain the theory, history, and practice of art, literature, film, television, new media, and communication in an informed and broad-based manner.
- Apply professional knowledge, skills, and standards in work situations, demonstrating social consciousness and ethical responsibility.
- Think analytically, critically, and creatively, demonstrating management skills and potential for leadership.
- Perform a specialty in film and TV making craft using a comprehensive base of skills that demonstrate creativity, aesthetic sensitivity, and cultural literacy.
- Undertake careers and further studies in film and TV in response to the industry needs of Hong Kong and the Greater China Region.
