Program Overview

Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production

The Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production is a two-year, full-time program offered by the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Film. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive education in film production, emphasizing professional training, creativity, aesthetics, and cultural literacy.

Program Objectives

Upon successful completion of the program, students should be able to:

1. Explain the theory, history, and practice of art, literature, film, television, new media, and communication in an informed and broad-based manner.
2. Apply professional knowledge, skills, and standards in work situations, demonstrating social consciousness and ethical responsibility.
3. Think analytically, critically, and creatively, demonstrating management skills and potential for leadership.
4. Perform a specialty in film and TV making craft using a comprehensive base of skills that demonstrate creativity, aesthetic sensitivity, and cultural literacy.
5. Undertake careers and further studies in film and TV in response to the industry needs of Hong Kong and the Greater China Region.
