The Language Centre at Hong Kong Baptist University offers a "Putonghua Teacher Language Proficiency Training Course" to enhance the language skills of teachers. This course has been commissioned by the Education Bureau since 2001 and has trained over 1,920 teachers.

Course Description

The "Putonghua Teacher Language Proficiency Training Course" is designed to prepare teachers for the Putonghua Teacher Language Proficiency Assessment. The course focuses on listening, speaking, and pronunciation skills. A condensed version of the course, "Putonghua Teacher Language Proficiency Assessment Preparation Course," was introduced in 2006 to help teachers prepare for the assessment.
