Program Overview


Introduction to the Creative and Professional Writing Programme

The Creative and Professional Writing Programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in writing, aesthetics, and cultural differences. The programme aims to enhance students' intellectual cognition and skills, training them in both Chinese and English writing.


Programme Structure

The programme consists of 128 units, with 60 units dedicated to the major. The major units are divided into 42 units of required courses and 18 units of elective courses from two modules: English and Chinese writing.

Internship Opportunities

The Creative and Professional Writing Programme offers a required course, "Writing Internship," which provides students with real-life experiences and opportunities to work with different institutes, such as literary agencies, magazine or book publishers, theatre or film groups, non-profit arts organizations, book reviewers, advertising agencies, and websites. This course is mandatory for final-year CPW students.
