Master of Health Administration
Introduction
The Master of Health Administration program aims to qualify professionals for leadership positions in the middle and upper management levels of the healthcare and social services sector. The program provides theoretical and methodological foundations in health sciences, approaches to health promotion and prevention, knowledge of health economics and policy, management in the healthcare system, project development, and quality and knowledge management.
Program Details
- The program combines health and economic sciences to address current healthcare policy and economic challenges in the German healthcare system.
- It responds to the need for management competencies, particularly in the context of extensive changes in the healthcare system, where leadership skills are increasingly required for the management of personnel and organizational processes.
- Social and methodological competencies, as well as management competencies, are conveyed through various skill trainings and the development of individual projects.
Target Group
The program is designed for professionals in various fields of the healthcare and social services sector, including:
- Public health services, offices, and authorities of municipalities and states, occupational medicine, and health protection, welfare associations, and non-profit organizations.
- Health and nursing insurance funds, pension insurance, and other social security providers.
- Institutions and services of medical, therapeutic, nursing, rehabilitative, and psychosocial care.
- Economic organizations and educational institutions.
Admission Requirements
- The program is aimed at applicants with a completed university degree and at least two years of relevant professional practice.
Start Time and Duration
- The program starts annually in April and September.
- It is a two-year, part-time distance learning program (4 semesters) with regular digital teaching events.
Degree and Certification
- The program leads to the academic degree of Master of Arts.
- It is accredited by the Accreditation Agency AQAS e.V. (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs).
- The program has been recognized as a further education measure by the Westphalia-Lippe Medical Association (ÄKWL), awarding a total of 460 further education points in category H.
- Within the framework of registration for professionally nursing individuals, 20 further education points are awarded.

- The tuition fee is Euro 2,225.00 per semester, payable in 8 installments, with the possibility of individual installment agreements.
