The Certificate in Foundation Studies is a program designed for international students who want to pathway into a bachelor's degree at the University of Canterbury. - Fees: NZ$26,161 (indicative only, based on revision each year, and does not include additional costs such as course materials, insurance, and levies)
- Start Dates: 13 October 2025, 16 February 2026, 15 June 2026, 12 October 2026
- Entry Requirements: International student entry into the Certificate in Foundation Studies at UC varies by country and/or region. Students must also meet the English language entry requirements with the equivalent of IELTS 5.5, with no band below 5.0.
Program Structure
The program is structured across two trimesters and includes a set of core courses that develop skills and knowledge necessary for academic success at a university level, a numeracy elective, and three courses from an area of focus in Arts, Business, Engineering, or Science.
