Product Design Program

The Product Design program at the University of Canterbury combines design, business, science, and engineering to produce skilled and creative designers who understand aesthetics and technology.

Product Design Majors

The university offers several majors in Product Design, including:

• Applied Immersive Game Design: This major allows students to experience the entire game design process, from conceptualization and development to playtesting and marketing.
• Chemical Formulation Design: In this major, students learn the formulation design process, from research and ideation to testing and delivering a professional-quality finished product.
• Digital Product Design: This major teaches students the full product design process, including designing and prototyping solutions, communicating with stakeholders, and producing viable, commercial products.

Conjoint Degrees and Postgraduate Studies

The university also offers conjoint degrees and postgraduate studies in Product Design. Conjoint degrees are accelerated programs for high-achieving students, allowing them to combine two degrees in as little as four years.
