Program Overview
Master of Business Information Systems
The Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS) is a postgraduate degree that aims to address high-level skills shortages in the rapidly growing ICT industry. The program equips graduates with specialist knowledge and skills applicable to managing the use of technology and technology-driven innovations in business.
Introduction
Information Systems is a fast-expanding industry and the point where business studies and information technology meet. The MBIS program contains core and elective courses, an optional major, and a choice between an applied project, research project, or internship.
Degree Structure
The MBIS can be studied full-time within 17 months, or part-time over a maximum of 4 years. The program consists of 180 points, which includes compulsory and elective courses.

The Master of Business Information Systems will provide graduates with the skills, knowledge, and competencies to undertake entry-level Information Systems-related roles.
Entry Requirements
To enter the MBIS, students must have a bachelor's degree with at least a B- Grade Point Average in 300-level courses, or equivalent, and be approved to enrol. International students may need to meet additional language requirements. Domestic students who need help meeting the requirements can study UC's Diploma in Advancing University Studies to gain entry into this degree.
