Program Overview
Introduction to Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Innovation and Entrepreneurship studies at the University of Canterbury (UC) focus on developing creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative skills to generate new business ideas. This programme teaches end-to-end business processes, enabling students to identify emerging market needs, solve complex problems creatively, or recognize unique prospects to launch a new product or business venture.
What Will My Study Involve?
- Learn how to solve complex problems, recognize new business opportunities, and develop essential skills in planning and project management to make them happen.
- Explore current global markets, trends, and the latest technologies that change how we do business, with practical projects or an internship in the final year applying skills to real businesses.
- Manage the innovation process, set up your own business venture, or gain experience from industry experts through Te Pokapū Rakahinonga | UC Centre for Entrepreneurship.
- Include a minor in Innovation or a minor in Entrepreneurship in several degree options to customize studies with your business ideas.
