Introduction to Gender and Sexuality Studies

Gender and Sexuality Studies at UC examines how gender and sexuality connect with deep social theories and historical contexts to give you a detailed understanding of identity, power, and resistance.

  • Explore different worldviews and theories to expand your perspective of gender and sexuality on culture and identity.
  • Courses focus on queer theory, sexual diversity, sexualities in education, feminist history, representations of sex and sexuality in popular culture, and much more.

Gender and Sexuality Studies Minor

For the minor in the Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, Digital Screen, Health, Product Design, Science, Social and Environmental Sustainability, Sport, or Youth and Community Leadership, complete the following courses:


  • 75 points chosen from these courses, with at least 45 points above 100-level
