Program Overview

Introduction to Physical Activity and Wellbeing

Physical Activity and Wellbeing studies teach students how to inspire people to move more and improve their physical and mental health. An active lifestyle can prevent major public health issues such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and mental health disorders. This program explores ways of helping others make healthy choices and improve opportunities and access to sports and physical activities.

Program Overview

The Physical Activity and Wellbeing program involves learning how to educate others on caring for their physical health and the benefits this has on the body and mind. Students develop methods in motivating themselves to engage in recreational exercise, outdoor adventure, training regimes, and more. Practical experiences working with diverse groups and in encouraging more equitable practices in sporting and health industries are also part of the program.
