Engineering Management Program

The Engineering Management program is designed to prepare the next generation of senior management in the industry. This program enables graduates to apply integrated engineering and business knowledge in a technical environment.

Engineering Management graduates gain specialized knowledge in engineering management and have critical awareness of current and emerging issues relating to engineering management in Aotearoa New Zealand and globally. They develop communication, planning, interpersonal, management, and leadership skills, allowing them to collaborate with people across multiple disciplines.


Courses

  • The Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Management consists of eight courses.
    • Study begins in February, April, July, or September.
    • The program takes 2 years to complete on a part-time basis.
  • The Master of Engineering Management consists of nine courses and a project report.
    • It can be studied via a full-time flipped classroom model over 1.5 years.
    • Alternatively, it can be studied via a part-time and fully online model over 3 years.
    • Commencement dates are February, April, July, or September each year.
  • The PhD in Engineering Management consists of a research thesis (ENMG790 Engineering Management PhD).
    • This program can begin on the first day of any month of the year.
    • It takes between 36 years to complete on a full or part-time basis.
