The Fine Arts program at the University of Canterbury is a comprehensive and well-established program.

Introduction

Fine Arts studies explore visual arts as an emotional and thought-provoking media that has influenced us throughout history.

What Will My Study Involve?

• Improve on your personal art style, learn artistic technique, and find opportunities to create, collaborate, and display your body of work.
• From your second year, choose your studio specialisation: Moving Image, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, or Sculpture.
• Access an on-campus art gallery, personal studio spaces, workshops and art labs, and external gallery and art studio visits.
