Rakennusten akustinen suunnittelu (Acoustic Design of Buildings)
This program focuses on the acoustic design of buildings, aiming to provide participants with a deep understanding of various aspects of building acoustics.
Program Description
The program explores how to design spaces to sound good, including speech clarity and music naturalness. It covers topics such as room acoustics, sound insulation, noise control, and vibration control.
Program Objectives
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to apply acoustic design methods to various building types, understand the basics of noise control in land use planning, and apply acoustic design principles to residential, office, hospital, and cultural buildings.

Program Structure

The instructor, Dr. Mikko Kylli‰inen, has 30 years of experience in acoustics, having worked in design, research, and teaching positions. He has specialized in the sound insulation of structures and the acoustics of wooden buildings.
