Educational Leadership Program

The Master's Degree Programme in Educational Leadership is a unique collaborative distance-learning programme offered by Tampere University of Applied Sciences. This programme is designed to equip students with the essentials of leading people and business in the context of international education.

Program Overview

• The program is mainly online with three mandatory but interactive and fun intensive weeks in Finland.
• It is a Master's degree (UAS) program that earns a Master of Business Administration degree.
• The planned duration of the program is 1.5 years, with an option for blended learning that can take up to 2.5 years.
• The extent of studies is 90 ETCS credits.
• The program is based in Tampere, at the Main Campus, and offers both full-time and part-time study options.

Admission Criteria

• The program requires 2 years (24 months) of documented work experience after completing a Bachelor's degree.
• Student selection is based on a pre-task assignment submitted with the application and an online interview with the academic staff for top candidates.
• Applicants who have completed their Bachelor's degree outside of Finland must provide an English language proficiency certificate, except for those from Australia, Canada, the European Union or EEA, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or the United States.

Tuition Fee

• The tuition fee for non-EU/EEA citizens is 12,000 € per academic year.
• Scholarships are available for eligible students.

Program Focus

The degree focuses on state-of-the-art skills and concepts of international educational leadership. Students will develop necessary competences for leading human and technological changes faced by educational institutions. The program provides a deeper insight into the successful Finnish education system, allowing students to transfer best practices to their environment. It also equips students with practical tools and theories about motivating and leading themselves and other educators effectively and ethically.
