Textile and Material Engineering
The Textile and Material Engineering program is a multidisciplinary Bachelor's degree offered by Tampere University of Applied Sciences. This program educates internationally oriented textile and material engineering professionals for the future sustainable textile industry and business, as well as circular economy change-makers.

Curriculum
The curriculum includes detailed information on the content and structure of the studies. It covers textile materials and manufacturing processes from fibers to textiles, including fiber and yarn spinning, knitting, weaving, nonwoven technologies, coloring and finishing, and product manufacturing. Additionally, it encompasses textile recycling, circular economy, industrial economics, and quality, supply chain, and project management. Natural sciences, mathematics, chemistry, and physics provide the base for engineering studies.
Internship and Exchange Opportunities
An internship is an essential part of the studies, supporting professional growth through target-oriented and supervised learning in the working life. The internship can be completed outside Finland. Furthermore, a semester or a whole academic year can be completed in the student exchange program abroad. The whole degree program is conducted in English.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Textile and Material Engineering program can work globally as textile engineering professionals in production and development positions, project management, technical purchasing and sales, quality management, and supply chain management positions in the textile-related industry and business or in public organizations.
Admission Criteria
Students are admitted through the International UAS Exam or SAT scores. The SAT score must arrive directly from the College Board, using the institution code 6960 when registering for the SAT test.
