Program Overview
Master's in Public Policy, Law, and Governance (MPPLG)
The Master's in Public Policy, Law, and Governance (MPPLG) is a two-year, full-time programme designed to provide students with an integrated understanding of the intersections between public policy, legal frameworks, and governance structures. Offered through four semesters, this programme equips graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate and shape the evolving landscape of policy and governance, both within India and globally.
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to develop professionals who can engage meaningfully in the policymaking arena, whether through direct participation in government, civil society, or industry, or by contributing to academia and research. Through rigorous interdisciplinary training, participants will acquire a deep comprehension of how law and governance impact public policy, and how policies, in turn, shape socio-political and economic realities.
Curriculum
The curriculum is rooted in multiple disciplines, including law, economics, management, sociology, and international relations. The programme prepares graduates to critically analyze and address complex societal issues. The curriculum also includes electives from multiple disciplines, curated with a primary focus on skill development. With a blend of theory-driven and skills-focused courses, the programme fosters an environment that encourages critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and ethical commitment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering/Law/Medicine/Commerce/Arts (not less than four years)
- 65% or 7 CGPA for General/OBC/EWS category and 60% or 6.5 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD in qualifying examination with first class in all preceding degrees/examinations
- Not exceeding 30 years for General/OBC/EWS; and 35 years for SC/ST/PwD respectively, as on 1st January 2026
- Age may be relaxed in case of working executives up to 03 years' experience
- Preference will be given to female candidates
- Preference will be given to those with work experience

Examination Details
Selection will be based on:
- Written Test - Computer based (02 hrs duration)
- Group Discussion/Personal Interview

- Part I: English (25 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions)
- Part II: Current Affairs (25 questions), Logical Reasoning (25 questions)

Additional Information
- The Institute shall not be liable for any delay, disruption, rescheduling, or cancellation of the online entrance examination due to events beyond its control.
- The programme is a full-time residential course.
- Working executives are allowed to pursue this course, provided they produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and due approval for leave (02 years) from the employer.
