About the Master's in Public Policy Law and Governance (MPPLG) Programme

The MPPLG programme is a two-year, full-time programme designed to provide students with an integrated understanding of the intersections between public policy, legal frameworks, and governance structures. The programme equips graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate and shape the evolving landscape of policy and governance.


Programme Objectives

The programme aims to develop professionals who can engage meaningfully in the policymaking arena, whether through direct participation in government, civil society, or industry, or by contributing to academia and research. Through rigorous interdisciplinary training, participants will acquire a deep comprehension of how law and governance impact public policy, and how policies shape socio-political and economic realities.

Admission Criteria

Admission to the MPPLG programme requires:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Medicine/ Law/ Arts/ Commerce (not less than 4 years)
  • 65% or 7 CGPA for General/OBC/EWS category and 60% or 6.5 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD category in qualifying examination with first class in all preceding degrees/examinations
  • Not exceeding 30 years for General/OBC/EWS; and 35 years for SC/ST/PWD respectively as on 1st January 2025
  • Age may be relaxed in case of working executives up to 3 years of experience
  • Preference will be given to female candidates
  • Preference will be given to those with work experience
