Introduction to the Community Engaged Scholars: Mentoring Network

The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) Community Engaged Scholars: Mentoring Network is dedicated to the development of researchers to create the future leaders of community-engaged research.

About the Network

The Community Engaged Scholars: Mentoring Network is designed to align with MCW's mission for community engagement. Senior faculty members with extensive experience in community engagement guide and foster capacity for MCW faculty interested in improving their scholarship tracks for community-engaged research.

Program Description

The mentoring network is designed to be an individualized experience. The time commitment for involvement in the program is decided between the participant and their mentor. Mentoring can be provided at multiple levels, ensuring participants will finish the program with a better understanding of and stronger orientation for community-engaged research.

Application Process

The application process requires participants to share their work and goals through an application form and to provide their curriculum vitae. If selected, participants will be matched with a qualified mentor who can aid in guiding their career orientation to community-engaged research.
