Program Overview
MCW Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC) Program ### Program Overview ### The MCW Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC) Program is established to advance translational and precision medicine research. The program is funded by the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment and the MCW Dean's Program Development funds (2023-Present). The program occupies over 600 square feet within the Cardiovascular Research Center and provides quality iPSCs from a matching biorepository, consisting of somatic cells obtained from patients representative of the region/community in which the program serves. The core is a collaboration between the Cardiovascular Research Center, Department of Physiology, and the Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology. ### Program Services - Human iPSC reprogramming from peripheral blood monocytes or fibroblasts (skin biopsy) - Human iPSC cell line differentiation services into endothelial cells, cardiomyocytes, or vascular smooth muscle cells - iPSC CRISPR gene knockout/knock-in or single nucleotide editing - Premade cell products from bank or select validated external sources - Methodological development (e.g., organoids, additional cell types) - Training for laboratory staff and pre/postdoctoral trainees on these methodologies ### Program Staff - Chun Liu, PhD: Assistant Professor - Bradley Miller: Cardiovascular iPSC Research Technologist - Abigail Multerer: Cardiovascular iPSC Research Technologist ### Non-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Legal Compliance Statement The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is committed to fostering a diverse community of outstanding faculty, staff, and students, as well as ensuring equal educational opportunity, employment, and access to services, programs, and activities, without regard to an individual's race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability, sex, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, predisposing genetic characteristic, military status, or other legally protected classification.
