Program Overview

The Hospitalist Medicine Elective is a collaborative learning environment where internal medicine residents work with Hospitalist faculty on Medicine Inpatient Rotations at Froedtert Hospital.

Program Structure

Internal medicine residents rotate on the Froedtert Hospital medicine teams for an average of 4-5 months a year. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to work with hospitalist faculty on:

• Transplant service
• Procedures service
• A dedicated one-on-one experience during the hospital medicine inpatient elective

Learning Environment

The program provides a collaborative learning environment, allowing internal medicine residents to gain valuable experience and skills in hospitalist medicine. Residents work closely with hospitalist faculty to develop their expertise in patient care and management.
