Program Overview


Medical College of Wisconsin

The Medical College of Wisconsin offers a comprehensive program in cancer treatment, focusing on the integration of multidisciplinary practice in APP-driven cancer treatment.


Overview

The inaugural IMPACT conference is a two-day event aimed at empowering APPs in hematology and oncology. The program includes a pre-conference skills and wellness day, followed by a full-day conference addressing current topics in cancer care.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:


  • Identify current evidence-based practice guidelines for the topic areas presented
  • Describe the role of APPs and models of team-based care within the context of cancer screening, pain management, and toxicity management
  • Implement a patient-centered approach within a broad range of cancer topics to increase their competency, safety, and quality in cancer-based specialty care
  • Participate in skills labs to increase competency in specific areas, including GOC/difficult conversations, oncology rehab therapy support, conflict management, and radiology review/interpretation
