Program Description

The Intractable Epilepsy Presurgical Conference 2026 is a program designed to review and discuss complex, drug-resistant epilepsy patients and ancillary diagnostics to discern salient surgical options as an alternative to medication therapy.

Learning Objectives

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:


  • Review the definition of drug-resistant epilepsy and various surgical approaches for treatment
  • Identify diverse ancillary diagnostic testing for discernment of surgical options for individual patients with known drug-resistant epilepsy (ie. neuroimaging, electrophysiology, and neuropsychology/language testing)
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary forum and foster comradery to develop consensus opinion(s) about the best surgical approach for an individual patient's drug-resistant epilepsy
