Course Description

GNR 650 Advanced Deep Learning for Image Analysis

The course covers advanced deep learning techniques used to solve critical inference problems in remote sensing, image analysis, and computer vision. The learning paradigms include:

• Meta-learning and few-shot learning
• Zero-shot learning
• Self-supervised learning
• Multi-modal learning
• Multi-task learning

• Domain adaptation and generalization
• Uncertainty estimation in deep learning The course applies these learning algorithms to visual inference tasks, focusing on image classification and semantic segmentation, with a running example of land-cover classification from remote sensing images.
