Games Technology FdSc
The Games Technology foundation degree has been designed to meet the demands of the industry, allowing students to experience the core roles and learn the skills required for a graduate career in Games Technology.
About this Course
This course is a foundation degree that focuses on the multidisciplinary aspects of the games industry, including games architecture, asset production, games design, and the games industry. Students will learn about these topics using specialist, industry-standard hardware and software.

Games Architecture
This module introduces students to the technologies and practices that underpin the creation of a game technology product during its development phase.

Asset Production for Games
This module introduces students to audio and visual technologies and their use in the creation of assets for interactive games.

Games Industry
Understanding global markets and demographics is vital when developing games technology products.
- 20 credits
Games Design
An understanding of the fundamentals of game mechanics is important in the creation of a Games Technology product.
- 20 credits
Games Development and Realisation
This module focuses on the creation of industry standard technical documentation as part of the games development pipeline.
- 20 credits
Level Production
This module aims to build techniques and develop students' understanding gained in the use of industry standard Games Engines in the creation of a games level.
- 40 credits
Industry Practice
During this module, students will undertake appropriate self-directed projects, working collaboratively on creative work.
