Introduction

Using creative teaching techniques and clear, step-by-step guidance, students will learn the process of glove making with leather. This course provides a unique opportunity to be part of a design community in a creative studio culture, promoting discussion, collaboration, and experimentation.

How You're Taught

Students will be based in the Bonington building at the City Campus, with access to excellent facilities and equipment in the leather and accessory design studios. The course includes 15 contact hours of quality tuition with an experienced tutor.


Tutor Profile

The course is taught by Vajira Peiris, who teaches concept development and technical approaches to accessory design and woven textiles at Nottingham Trent University.

Students will be based in the School of Art and Design on the City Campus, with access to the library, study spaces, IT facilities, and learning resources.


Entry Requirements

  • Level: Beginner
  • Entry Requirement: It's useful to have some stitching and pattern-making skills, though this is not essential as the basics will be taught.
  • Age Requirement: Students must be over the age of 18 to attend this course.

  • Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking. A deposit of 」200 can secure a place if booking more than two months in advance, with the balance due one month before the course starts.
  • What's Included: Course fees cover the cost of studies, including the use of modern library facilities and free use of IT equipment and software on campus during the course.
