Veteran Student Orientation

The Veteran Student Orientation is hosted by the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) and provides an introduction to the essential services offered by Portland State University (PSU) to military-affiliated students.

Description

The orientation is designed to welcome military-affiliated students to PSU and provide them with information about the services and support available to them. The VRC staff, along with representatives from Vet Success on Campus (VSOC), the Disability Resource Center, 3rd Party Billing (PSU Finances), and Veteran Certification, will be present to answer questions and provide guidance.

Eligibility

The orientation is open to all military-affiliated students, including veterans, families, dependents, active duty members, and reservists. While some portions of the orientation will focus on benefit-related information, all military-affiliated students will find the information provided to be useful.

Schedule

The orientation is held multiple times throughout the year, with two sessions in the Fall term and one session in the Winter, Spring, and Summer terms. The exact dates and times vary, and students are encouraged to check the events calendar for the most up-to-date information.

Location

The orientation is held in the Veterans Resource Center, located on the PSU campus.
