Course Overview

The CS50x Portland State course is a self-paced introduction to computer science and programming, utilizing Harvard's open-source, online framework, CS50x. Students enrolled in the course work through CS50x at their own pace and meet once a week for 8 weeks to receive guidance from their peers and instructors.

• The instructor of record is Sarah Read, director of the Master's in Technical and Professional Writing program.
• The course session leader is Zalika Ockleberry of New Relic.

Funding and Support

The pilot effort is funded by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as an effort to bring computer science and programming training to graduate students across disciplines.
