Emergency Medical Services Fellowship Program
The Florida Atlantic University Emergency Medical Services Fellowship Program focuses on training exceptional EMS physicians. Our fellows work with world-class academic and clinical EMS physicians. We are innovative and bold, delivering excellent care to our community, and are advancing our field through research, discovery, teaching, and mentoring the future leaders of EMS.
Program Overview
The program is led by Scott Alter, M.D., M.B.A., NRP, FACEP, FAAEM, Program Director. The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine offers students a variety of educational programs and degrees.
Program Details
- The Florida Atlantic University Emergency Medical Services Fellowship Program received ACGME accreditation.
- The inaugural fellows matriculated in July 2025, and the program is actively recruiting fellows to join in July 2026.
- The program trains exceptional EMS physicians to deliver excellent care to the community and advance the field through research, discovery, teaching, and mentoring.
