M.D. Program Admissions

The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University offers a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program. The admissions process is highly competitive, and applicants must meet specific requirements to be considered.

Requirements and Process

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed the required prerequisite courses, including:

• What if I cannot find two science faculty for letters of recommendation?: The college will accept letters from professors, advisors, clinical research coordinators or preceptors, supervisors, mentors, and coaches.
• Will I need to take the MCAT exam?: Yes, the MCAT is required to complete the AMCAS application.
• What is a competitive GPA and MCAT score?: The average statistics for accepted applicants are:

• Do you provide superscoring?: No, the college does not combine scores of the sections from multiple MCAT exams to make the cumulative score higher.
