About The Global Career Accelerator

The Global Career Accelerator is a program designed to provide undergraduate students with real-world experience and in-demand skills, making it easier to enter the workforce. This one-semester program is accessible to any major and fits into a student's degree, with no prerequisites required.

SkillBuilders

High-quality course videos allow students to learn in-demand skills at their own pace, with 1:1 support available anytime.

Portfolio

Complete capstone projects developed with top companies simulate early-career experience, providing certifications for resumes and LinkedIn.

Soft Skills

Students master emotional intelligence to gain a competitive edge in future job searches and stand out in a globally connected workforce.

Career Boost

Upon completion, students receive certifications for their resume and LinkedIn, unlocking special access to full and part-time career opportunities at top companies.

LiveLab

Students join live online classes, collaborating on real-world case studies with peers from over 70 other universities.

Program Details

• The program is offered for the Spring 2026 term, from January 10 to May 12.
• The cost is 6 credits of standard tuition and a $1,800 program fee.
• Current undergraduate students are eligible to receive 6 credits upon completion of each track, which count as elective credits.
• Engineering Computer Science students should check with their academic advisor to see how the program may apply to their degree requirements.
• Students of the Wilkes Honor College are not eligible for the Global Career Accelerator at this time.

Program Structure

• The program is broken up into LiveLabs and Video Lessons:
  • LiveLabs are virtual sessions held once a week, conducted over Zoom, with attendance required.
  • Video Lessons are high-quality, pre-recorded videos that can be viewed anytime, but students must stay on track with their peers.

LiveLab Schedule

• LiveLabs are offered at the following times:
  • Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM (America/New_York)
  • Tuesdays from 06:00 PM to 07:30 PM (America/New_York)
  • Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM (America/New_York)
  • Thursdays from 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM (America/New_York)
  • Thursdays from 09:00 PM to 10:30 PM (America/New_York)

  • Desktop or laptop computer (tablets are not compatible)
  • Webcam (built-in or external)
