The Executive Certificate in Project Management (Evening) is a program designed to provide participants with the knowledge, comprehension, and understanding of project management methodology. The program curriculum covers the entire life cycle of a project, using A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Û Guide) as a basis. Participants will learn how to:

  • Build an integrated Project Management Plan and other key planning and controlling documents
  • Apply good project management skills in many different types of projects
  • Develop relationships and better communicate with project stakeholders
  • Keep the project on track, successfully complete the project, and transition the results to the appropriate stakeholders

  • Individuals pursuing a career in project management or with experience in the field but no formal training
  • Individuals desiring to earn a PMI credential
  • Certified PMPs who wish to obtain refresher training in PMI-recommended good practices

Program Requirements

The program requirements are set by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and include:


  • A four-year degree and 36 months of leading projects, or
  • A high school diploma or associate's degree and 60 months of leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education or training

Educational Background

The educational background required for the program includes a secondary diploma (high school diploma or global equivalent) and 23 contact hours of formal education in project management.
