Presentation
The master's degree in information technology governance, audit and security is offered by the School of Management of the University of Sherbrooke. This graduate program aims to enable students to continue acquiring knowledge related to their previous training or to acquire specialized training in governance, audit and security of information technologies.
Objectives
- Allow the student to continue acquiring knowledge related to their previous training or to acquire specialized training in governance, audit and security of information technologies.
- Acquire more specific knowledge, learn to analyze specific situations and develop the skills necessary for appropriate intervention.
- To become able to contribute to the resolution of management problems within multidisciplinary teams.
Specific Objectives
- To deepen knowledge and skills related to the technical and theoretical aspects of information technologies.
- Master the concepts related to information technology security governance, control and audit.
- To master new risk analysis tools related to the use of information technologies.
- Learn to analyze specific situations and develop the skills necessary to carry out mandates related to information technologies.

The program includes 45 credits and is offered part-time at the Longueuil Campus. Mandatory educational activities include:

Longueuil: admission to the fall term.
General Conditions
- Hold an undergraduate degree in administration, accounting concentration, information systems or finance, in computer science or in a field of study deemed equivalent if the candidate has relevant experience in fields related to information technology or control.
- Have obtained a cumulative average of at least 2.7 in a system where the maximum mark is 4.3 or have obtained academic results considered equivalent.
Special Conditions
The candidate must have obtained a cumulative average of at least 3.0 in a system where the maximum mark is 4.3 for the educational activities of the 1st cycle degree or propaedeutics deemed relevant.
Linguistic Requirement(s)
All those admitted must have a very good knowledge of the French language allowing them to understand well, express themselves explicitly and write clearly without mistakes and in a structured manner.
