Research Masters in Management Sciences

The research master's degree in management sciences is a 2nd cycle program offered by the School of Management of the University of Sherbrooke. This program aims to enable students to continue acquiring knowledge related to their previous training or to acquire specialized training in one of the School of Management's research areas.
Objectives
The objectives of this program are:
- To enable the student to continue acquiring knowledge related to their previous training or to acquire specialized training in one of the School of Management's research areas.
- To carry out research on a given subject, to master a research method and to be able to communicate the results of their work.
- To become able to contribute to the resolution of management problems within multidisciplinary teams.
Program Structure
The program consists of 45 credits, divided into:
- 24 credits of compulsory educational activities from the common core.
- Credits for compulsory and optional educational activities for the pathway, varying depending on the pathway chosen.
Pathways
The program offers six pathways:
- Career path in finance.
- Pathway in e-commerce management (admissions suspended).
- Pathway in intervention and organizational change.
- Marketing career path.
- Pathway in accounting sciences (admissions suspended).
- Pathway in business intelligence strategy.
Admission and Requirements
The admission conditions are:
- Hold an undergraduate university degree in administration or the equivalent.
- Have obtained a cumulative average of at least 2.7 in a system where the maximum mark is 4.3.
- A candidate holding an undergraduate degree in another field of study may also be admitted; a propaedeutic may be required.
Linguistic Requirements
All those admitted must have a very good knowledge of the French language. Proof of minimum mastery of the French language can be provided by obtaining an exemption or by reaching level C1 in the four fundamental skills in one of the tests recognized by the University of Sherbrooke.
