Objectives
The program aims to enable students to:
- Describe the evaluative approach in rehabilitation, situate it within an intervention model, and apply it to their professional practice.
- Critically analyze available rehabilitation tools based on scientific criteria, situate them within conceptual models, and assess their practical contribution to rehabilitation.
- Describe the process of developing a measurement tool in rehabilitation and identify a tool to be developed, initiating the development process.
- Distinguish between major types of program evaluation in rehabilitation, their specific objectives, and develop an evaluation plan based on their work situation.
Structure of the Program
The program consists of the following obligatory pedagogical activities, totaling 12 credits:
- REA100: Contemporary trends in rehabilitation - 3 credits
- REA105: Use of the intercultural approach in rehabilitation - 1 credit
- REA110: Evaluative approach in rehabilitation - 2 credits
- REA111: Measurement tools in rehabilitation - 2 credits
- REA113: Program evaluation - 3 credits
- REA116: Integration activity I - 1 credit

- Special condition(s): Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in health sciences (ergotherapy, medicine, speech therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, etc.) or in other disciplines related to rehabilitation (physical education, psychology, social work, etc.), or demonstrate equivalent studies and experience as judged by the admission committee.
- Language Requirements: A very good mastery of the French language is required for success in the program. A good mastery of the English language is also necessary to consult and understand scientific and professional publications available only in English.
