Program Overview
Inspection des structures 2008 - MTMD
Presentation
The Inspection des structures 2008 - MTMD program is offered by the Centre de développement professionnel of the Faculté de génie. This program aims to provide participants with the technical knowledge necessary to conduct inspections of structures.
Context
The Ministčre des Transports et de la Mobilité durable has a program for inspecting structures, which aims to detect defects in structural elements and take necessary measures to ensure the longevity of structures, as well as the safety and comfort of users. The program also aims to prolong the useful life of structures and collect data necessary for planning interventions.
Objectives
The program aims to train inspectors to:
- Identify the main elements of different types of structures
- Detect defects and determine their importance according to the evaluation system
- Propose maintenance activities to restore damaged elements and take necessary measures to ensure user safety
Target Audience
The program is intended for engineers and technicians who will be responsible for conducting structure inspections. These formations in structure are addressed exclusively to engineering consulting firms, employees of the Ministčre des Transports et de la Mobilité durable, and certain public organizations.
Note
The training will take place entirely online via the Teams platform. However, the exam requires obligatory presence in class. No exceptions will be made.

- Ministčre des Transports et de la Mobilité durable: In collaboration with the Ministčre des Transports et de la Mobilité durable, the CDP Génie offers certain structure training courses at the Longueuil Campus and at a distance. These trainings, if successful, allow future mandatories of the MTMD to meet the conditions of admissibility related to the required training in structures. These trainings are therefore essential for all engineering consulting firms that wish to execute structure mandates for the MTQMD. Participants must be present at each training day and pass the exam prepared by the MTMD to receive their official certificate issued by the Université de Sherbrooke. These trainings are addressed exclusively to engineering consulting firms, MTMD employees, and certain public organizations.
- Duration: 29 hours
- Regular rate: $2,220
- Preferential rate: $2,020
