Training Objectives

Describe and compare the external and internal morphology of species representing the main taxonomic groups of invertebrates and vertebrates. Be able to identify these different groups and understand the adaptations undergone by the structures in an evolutionary context.


Content

Analysis of the external structures of specimens from the various animal taxonomic groups. Methods for systematically isolating the various parts to study their major internal structures. Morphology of support, circulation, respiration, digestion, and reproduction systems. Comparative measurements and graphical representations of structural modifications between the different groups.
