Admission Requirements
General Admission Criteria
- A four-year professional teaching degree on NQF level 7
- Or an appropriate Bachelor's degree and a professional teaching qualification (on NQF level 7)
- Or a four-year professional teaching qualification(s) as well as an Advanced Diploma in a cognate sub-field of Education (on NQF level 7)
- And a 65% minimum average for the preceding degree
- Applicants with between 60% and 64% may be considered, with teaching and leadership experience taken into account.
Additional Considerations
- Applications from persons with equivalent qualifications will be considered by a constituted status committee in line with the university and faculty regulations.
- Students may undergo a selection process, which can include an interview or written submission.
- Previous academic achievement and evidence of necessary academic reading and writing skills to become a competent researcher of education leadership and management will be considered.
- Preference in the selection process will be given to applicants with two to four years' classroom or field experience.

- Basic computer skills, including the ability to operate a computer, manage emails and files, use a word processing program, and basic web-browsing skills.

- Capability for e-book storage and reading, study notes storage and reading, video storage and playback, video recording, audio storage and playback, audio recording, web browsing, document creation, and access to social networking.
