MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme is designed to advance knowledge in the dynamic and growing industry of international shipping and logistics. This programme, validated by the University of Plymouth, aims to create a critical understanding of specialist areas such as shipping, logistics, procurement, and supply chain management.

International shipping is a vital industry responsible for the carriage of the vast majority of the world's trade, providing the lifeblood of the global economy. This programme develops the skills required to critically discuss a range of solutions for management problems within the industry. It incorporates ethical and sustainable dimensions into the understanding of business practice and applies new management concepts to solve complicated tasks with the use of technologies.

• ISLO dedicated seminar series delivered by invited executives from local, national, and international companies and alumni.
• Provides an opportunity for students to develop good industry links and network with organisations operating at Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Penang, particularly.
• The programme incorporates industry visits to relevant organisations, dialogue, and discussions with practitioners. Guest speakers from PKT Logistics Sdn Bhd and other organisations are invited to share the latest trends and practices and challenges in the industry.

• MAL7024 Sustainable Supply Chain Management
• MAL7025 International Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• MAL7026 Capstone Project

Entry Requirements

• A good honours degree, first or second class, or equivalent, in any discipline.
• International qualifications are welcome; please refer to the tariff glossary for other accepted qualifications.
• If English is not the mother tongue, a minimum of 6.5 IELTS with at least 5.5 in any element is required. English language requirements can be met by taking pre-sessional English language courses offered by Plymouth University.

Application Information

Applications should be made through the partner institution, Peninsula College Malaysia. The programme is available with a January or September start, offering flexibility to students.
