Program Overview
The HESA Higher Education Leadership Fellowship (HESA LEAF) is a program that provides fellows with the opportunity to gain perspective on how universities work and support major initiatives. Fellows will be placed in high-level administrative offices at Binghamton University, working with vice presidents and/or deans.
Program Requirements
The HESA LEAF requires a high degree of professionalism, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work as a member of a team.
Program Benefits
Financial Support
HESA LEAF Fellows will receive a tuition scholarship that covers the full cost of in-state tuition for one year ($11,310) or half that amount for their first year of enrollment in the program.
Academic and Professional Support
- Each Fellow will be matched with a faculty advisor who can assist them with academic planning and consultation about internships, volunteer opportunities, and career possibilities.
- HESA students work one-on-one with the director of admissions and student services for support with internships, student services, degree planning, and more.
Professional Development
Throughout their program, fellows will participate in tailored professional development experiences and enhanced career exploration and preparation opportunities.
