Program Overview


BH-CONS - Conservation and Wildlife Biology

Overview

The aim of the Honours year is to extend the student's grasp of the principles and practice of their subject, to develop ability for independent research, and to facilitate their entry into industry employment. An Honours qualification of at least 2A is normally required for admission to higher research degree study.


Structure

The program consists of 24 credit points, including:


  • Major: 24 credit points
  • Required Units: 24 credit points
    • VLS540: Honours Thesis in Conservation and Wildlife Biology (21 cp)
    • ECS602: Research Methods in Environmental and Conservation Sciences (3 cp)

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements

Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a Credit average; subject to availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the School Dean.


English Language Requirements

Equivalent of an Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0.
