Learning Outcomes

  1. Correctly describe, in simple terms, what equity is and how it operates.
  2. Use selected equitable doctrines to solve a legal problem.
  3. Critically analyse and evaluate these equitable doctrines and the role that equity plays in the common law of Australia.
  4. Use legal research and analytical skills to engage in debate concerning policy issues with respect to equity.
  5. Critically read and analyse a case.
  6. Write a useful case note.
