Enrolment in Graduate Diploma in Psychology (G1058) or Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced (G1096), or Bachelor of Arts Psychology Honours (H1285), or Bachelor of Science Psychology Honours (H1286), or Bachelor of Psychology Honours (H1288), or Master of Professional Psychology (M1388).


Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe the types of constructs assessed by a wide variety of standardised psychological assessment measures used by practitioners and researchers, and describe how to select, administer, score, and interpret these measures.
  2. Critically evaluate psychological assessment tests, measures, and interviews, with respect to construction, psychometric adequacy, cultural (especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians) and ethical considerations, and extant literature.
  3. Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal communication, including active listening, clarification, and reflection, and giving effective and constructive feedback.
