Unit Content
In this unit, students will engage in researching design thinking tools and practices through the use of established case studies and existing projects. Students will work in cross-disciplinary teams to explore complex issues using co-design methods and adopt team member roles for effectively managing a large simulated project. Students will explore a variety of methods for thinking about complicated and multifaceted scenarios.
The unit will primarily introduce design thinking methods, and then students will use those tools to explore outcomes for a range of simulated projects. This unit will introduce students to industry common problems that will be representative of the complexities involved in engaging in multifaceted projects.
