Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the major functions of vertebrate body systems and the cellular mechanisms underlying those functions.
  2. Apply scientific observation, interpretation and writing skills to the description of histological specimens.
  3. Investigate the biophysics underlying body systems and their functions.
  4. Articulate how the core principles of physiology (e.g. structure function relationships, flow down gradients) provide a framework within which to develop an integrated understanding of vertebrate body systems.
