Learning Outcomes
Upon completing this unit, students will be able to:
- Define and explain various cognitive processes and how they impact human behavior, and apply that understanding to explain why people behave and believe the things they do.
- Describe the impact of cognition, including how it impacts society and daily functioning, and understand how people make decisions and process incoming information to function effectively in day-to-day life.
- Participate in various studies and effectively discuss the research design, research question, and results for each study, in both verbal and written form.
- Identify, describe, and critique the literature and evidence associated with cognitive studies in an objective report.
- Effectively communicate their understanding of cognition and the cognitive processes underlying human behavior, in both verbal and written form.
