Program Overview

The Advanced Recreation Climbing Club is designed for students who have outgrown the Beginning Rec Club skill level and are ready to take their climbing abilities to the next level. The program focuses on advanced climbing technique and systems, while continuing to foster self-confidence, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and trust among young climbers.

Program Details

Eligibility

• Minimum age: 10 years old
• Prerequisite: ability to tie in with a figure 8 follow through and top rope belay with a grigri
• Space is limited to 10 students

Schedule

• Start date: Wednesday, January 14
• End date: Wednesday, April 22
• Practice session times: Wednesdays, 4-6pm
• Meeting place: SRC indoor climbing wall

Fees

• Cost: $330 per participant

Structure

• This is a semester-long program
• Limited to 10 participants in each group
• Coach: Coach Ayden
• Offering: Spring 2026, Wednesdays from 4-6pm

Registration

• Pre-registration for last semester's students: Opens Monday, January 5 at noon, Closes Friday, January 9 at 6pm
• New student registration: Monday, January 12 at noon
• Registration is only done through Outdoor Adventures or in person.
