L'Oréal Turkey Young Women in Science Scholarship Program
The L'Oréal Turkey Young Women in Science Scholarship Program is an extension of the international program that started in 2003. As of 2014, the program has supported the research of 70 young women scientists in Turkey.
Program Objective
The program aims to support young Turkish women researchers, encourage their research, and contribute to the development of scientific research in Turkey.
Supported Fields
The program supports research in the fields of:
- Life Sciences (including Molecular Genetics, Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, and Physiology)
- Materials Science (including Granular Materials, Polymers, Glasses and Ceramics, Composites, Biomaterials, Nano-Materials, Special Designed Surfaces, Photonic Crystals; Condensed Matter Physics and Statistical Physics)
Program Details
In the 2015 program, six researchers at the postdoctoral level will be selected to receive a one-year scholarship worth $15,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to young Turkish women researchers who are working on projects that have the potential to make a significant contribution to their field at an international level.
Research Areas
The program supports innovative, well-planned, and original research projects in the fields of Life Sciences and Materials Science.
Scholarship Amount
Each selected researcher will receive a one-year scholarship worth $15,000.
Program Support
The program is supported by the UNESCO Turkey National Commission and is designed to encourage young women researchers to pursue careers in science.
